This topic was raised recently and is an interesting one.

During my work with Stockport and Oldham we did not include Churches, simply because they are not a retailer or a business in the traditional sense.

However this does not mean a Church would not benefit from the activity of a BID and you may be able to induce a voluntary donation or some in-kind contribution.

Although I'm not keen to include this type of organisation, your own BID may wish to and it is your decision if you will charge a full levy or discount.

I'd like to hear more comments on this topic, at some point we can hold a poll on this.
